Obituary for Terry "Tiger" Dewayne Brown Sr.

Terry “Tiger” Dewayne Brown Sr.

Born 11/17/66 in York, PA. Terry “Tiger” Dewayne Brown Sr. 52 (also known as Peanut) passed unexpectedly Sunday morning. He was the son of the late Terry Harris and Darnella Jacobs. At the age of 2, his mother Darnella married Douglas K. Brown whom adopted Terry as his own. Tiger was the oldest of four siblings. Terry’s first love was sports and he excelled in football; however, his promising career came to a halt in his 9th grade year when he was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. To stay healthy, Tiger then began lifting weights to stay in shape.

At age 20, Tiger had his first son Terry Brown Jr. He later had 2 more kids, Terrell and Tierra Brown. Throughout his adulthood Tiger worked several jobs with his last being at Glen-Gary Brickyard in 2004. Over the years, Tiger remained the family protector and reached out to others through phone calls and visits. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and loved watching Golden State Warriors play as they reminded him of the Chicago Bulls. Tiger enjoyed playing spades and watching music videos on TV.

Terry is survived by his children, Terry Jr., Terrell, and Tierra; 5 grandchildren; Mother Darnella Brown, Grandmother Geraldine Harris; Sisters, Carmen Brown, Tonya Harris-Moskoff; and brothers, Berlin and Ryan Brown.

Terry was preceded in death by his biological Father, Terry Harris, adopted Father Douglas K. Brown, Grandfather Roy Harris Sr., Grandfather Johnnie Jacobs, Grandmother Margaret Smallwood Jacobs.
