Obituary for Pearl E. Nimmons

Pearl Ethel Nimmons, 77 of York was born to Ida Mae (Parker) and the late Clair Nimmons on November 18, 1941 in Denmark, SC.

Pearl received her early education in Denmark, SC and upon relocation to Pennsylvania she attended William Penn Senior High School known as York High.

Pearl married the love of her life, Bobby Foster, a Renowned Boxer and together they traveled the world. There were five children born to this union; Yalonda James of Chambersburg, Bobby Foster III (Joy) of York, Mildred Foster-McDonough of GA, Bobby Foster, Jr. (Pam) of York and Anthony (Tony) Foster who passed away in 2016.; in addition to the children Pearl leaves to cherish her legacy her mother Ida; a sister Jean Johnson (Curtis) of York; 40 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, 2 nieces and 1 nephew Regina Woodyard, Ray Woodyard and Sandra Sipe. She also has a best friend Marvina Murray of York ,Pa.

Pearl worked for York Hospital where she worked in various positions and retired after 15 years of service.

Pearl was a former member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she joined in the 1960’s and served until she later joined Cornerstone Baptist Church in 2012.

In addition to being a world traveler, Pearl loved children and was a foster parent, she enjoyed gardening and was a awesome caregiver for her mother. Pearl’s favorite saving was Trust in God and watch how He works. Pearl was a wonderful, loving person to all.
